Loaded Pizza Fries

Difficulty:
Easy

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Serving size: 4

Ingredients

  • 300 g IBIS bread leftovers, at least 3 days old (e.g. sandwich baguette XXL)
  • 125 ml sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika powder
  • Salt
  • 150 g cabanossi
  • 400 g pizza sauce
  • 100 g grated mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp chopped herbs to taste

Instruction

For the fries, preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Cut the leftover bread into fries-shaped sticks.

Whisk the oil with the paprika powder and a little salt in a bowl. Turn the bread sticks in the oil mixture, then spread them on the baking tray. Bake on the bottom shelf for 20 minutes, turnover once.

Meanwhile, cut the cabanossi into thin slices and fry in a pan until crispy. Set aside. Pour the pizza sauce into the pan, sprinkle over the cheese and place the cabanossi slices on top. Put the lid on and heat everything until the cheese has melted.

Pour the chips into an ovenproof dish, carefully pour the contents of the pan over them and sprinkle with herbs to taste. Serve immediately and enjoy.
