9th Aachen Company Run
On 23.09.2022, after a break of two years due to Corona, the Aachen company run took place again. For the first time in Pascalstraße after the move from Campus Melaten. What a premiere: the event directly in front of IBIS Backwaren.
There was a lot going on in the industrial park in Aachen-Oberforstbach. We had been waiting for it for a long time and it was worth the wait: there was a super exuberant atmosphere on site.

Before Aachen's Lord Mayor Sibylle Keupen gave the starting signal, two-time Olympic long jump champion Heike Drechsler gave the runners a few tips from the stage on how to pace themselves and then ran into the starting field herself.

IBIS had a team of more than 20 runners in three groups, the "Three Little Milk Buns" for the 3.3 kilometres, the "Six Crispy Stone Baked Baguettes" for the 6.6 kilometres and the runners from the "Sporty Protein Buns" team mastered the 9.9 kilometres with flying colours. Our IBIS running team can be proud of itself! A total of 6,000 runners from 415 Aachen companies took to the starting line for and with their companies and were actively cheered on by the many spectators!
A really great atmosphere, there was just a good mood in the air. We are looking forward to next year!
