Submitted by IBIS Backwarenvertriebs GmbH from Aachen

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Serving size: 36

  • 1 packet IBIS Pita Sticks Classic
  • 400 g double cream cheese with herbs
  • 200 g Camembert
  • 3 tsp paprika powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 120 g sunflower seeds
  • 18 slices bacon

Preheat the oven to 240 °C (top/bottom heat). Moisten the IBIS Pita Sticks Classic with a little water, place on the rack and bake for 3 minutes on the middle shelf. Then remove, leave to cool and dice.

Put the diced IBIS Pita Sticks into a blitz chopper with the double cream cheese, Camembert and paprika powder. Grind everything into a compact, malleable mass. Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Leave to rest for about 10 minutes.

In the meantime, roast the sunflower seeds in a pan without fat until golden. Then transfer to a bowl and leave to cool.

Form about 36 small balls of approx. 23 grams each from the pita stick mixture. Carefully roll the balls in the sunflower seeds so that some stick to them. Spread on a plate and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

Shortly before serving, cut the bacon slices in half and fry them in a pan without adding any extra fat until crispy, a little at a time. Drain on kitchen paper.

Thread 2 bacon halves and a pie pop onto a wooden skewer and serve.
