Valentine's Day: Love Rolls

For the rolls:

  • 4 slices IBIS Brioche
  • 400 g strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 50 ml milk
  • 60 g cream cheese
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar


  • butter for frying
  • roasted almond flakes for sprinkling


Roll out the brioche slices slightly larger on a work surface with a rolling pin.

Wash the strawberries, pat dry and remove the stems. Depending on the size, dice 4-8 strawberries into small cubes so that you get about 4 tablespoons of strawberry cubes. Mash the remaining strawberries with the sugar.

Whisk the egg with the milk in a bowl. Mix the cream cheese with the vanilla sugar, then fold in the strawberry cubes.

Spread the cream cheese and strawberry mixture along the bottom edge of each bread slice, leaving a small border. Then roll up the slices tightly.

Melt butter in a non-stick skillet. Turn each roll in the egg milk to soak up the dough. Then place in the hot pan with the seam facing down. Fry until golden brown all over.

Spread the strawberry puree as a mirror on two plates, arrange the Love Rolls on top and finally sprinkle everything with toasted almond flakes.
