In March 2018, IBIS Backwaren from Aachen was awarded the "Prize for Long-term Product Quality" for the 17th time by the DLG (German Agricultural Society) for sustainable product quality. The regular quality performance of the company in the international DLG tests for bread and pastries repeatedly convinced the jury of experts.

Proven long-term best quality: Numerous companies in the food industry have had their products tested voluntarily by DLG experts for many years.

In order to foster this sustainable pursuit of quality, the DLG awards the "DLG Prize for Long-term Product Quality" to manufacturers. This award for product quality tested over many years in the DLG quality tests is presented annually by the DLG to food manufacturers.
The DLG thus focuses on the sustainable pursuit of quality in companies in the food industry whose products have been tested regularly and successfully by the DLG for at least five years.
With the "Prize for Long-term Product Quality", the award winners can document that some of them have had their food tested by DLG's neutral experts for decades. "A clear promise expressing the will for consistent quality assurance," emphasised DLG Vice President Dr. Harms at the award ceremony.
