Ingredients


  • 1 Pack IBIS IBIS 2s/4s/6s Baguette Rolls
  • 1 l Milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g poppy seeds
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 packs of vanilla sugar
  • 1 lemon, grated zest
  • 180 g Sugar
  • Vanilla sauce (optional)

Instruction

First, cut the baguette rolls into bite-sized pieces, place them in a baking dish, and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Then, gently bring the milk, honey, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, and butter to a boil and pour over the baguette bites.

After that, separate the four eggs and bring the egg yolks to a boil with the milk mixture, stirring continuously. Then, beat the egg whites with sugar and spread on top. To avoid over-sweetness, use less honey for the milk.

Finally, bake the whole thing in the oven at 175°C for about 20 minutes and serve with vanilla sauce.
