Award of the Regional Prize for Groceries to IBIS GmbH

On the 16th September 2009 the Minister of Agriculture for North Rhine-Westphalia, Eckhard Uhlenberg, awarded the newly-created  “Regional Prize for Groceries in North Rhine-Westphalia” for the first time in the Westfalen-Culinarium in Nieheim. The “Regional Prize for Groceries in North Rhine-Westphalia” was created jointly by the regional government and the Cluster management for Nutrition in North Rhine-Westphalia “Ernährung.NRW”.

In future it will be awarded every year to a business in North Rhine-Westphalia particularly deserving of it on account of high-quality groceries.

These businesses will be selected on the basis of the last quality control conducted by the German Agricultural Society (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft, DLG), Frankfurt.

However, only those businesses which managed to qualify for a gold medal for the products they handed in to the DLG will be awarded the “Regional Prize for Groceries in North Rhine-Westphalia”.IBIS has been awarded more than 60 prizes by the DLG in recent years and now it has also been awarded the “Regional Prize for Groceries in North Rhine-Westphalia” for special services and quality of its breads and pastries and as a result it has proved that it ranks amongst the very best in the food industry in terms of quality.
